Hi everyone,
I went through the 2006 MYE Paper.
Pointers to note for exam:
- Interpretation and analysis of datas.
- Definition of the words.
- Mathematical Calculations and formula.
- The correct instruments use to make different measurement.
- The accurate readings, such as how to aviod parallex error, and how to use instruments to make accurate measurements.
- SI units for different quantities. Common mistakes students tend to make are: mass - kilogram (kg), length - metre (m), area - square metre (m^2), volume - cubic metre (m^3), weight - newton (N), speed - metres per second (m/s), density - kilogram per cubic metre (kg/m^3).
- Unit conversion. Common mistakes: 1000 ml = 1000 cm^3, 1 m^3 = 1000000 cm^3, 1 cm^3 = 0.000001 m^3, 1 m^2 = 10000 cm^2, 1 cm^2 = 0.0001 cm^2.
- The use of words denser & less dense.
- The uses of various instruments such as mercury thermometer.
- The importance of the various instruments.
- Classification of elements into states, metal & non-mental and periodic table.
- Identification of elements and compounds.
- The uses of different elements and compounds.
Countdown: 4 days to Science PaperRegards,
