Safety measures in using liquid-in-glass thermometer •Do not use the thermometer as a stirrer. •Do not place the bulb of the thermometer on a surface that has a high temperature, such as the base of a beaker placed over a heating flame. •Do not use the thermometer to measure temperature that is higher or lower than what it is designed to measure. •If the thermometer breaks, do not touch the glass or mercury as mercury is poisonous.
